Cracks in the Glass
In the land of scavengers, the journey is in the finding.

As Sophie peers through the glass, she is surprised to find that in the abandoned factory she has past everyday for the last 8 months coming back from work, there appears to be a brightly colored encampment. She jimmies a door handle down the street and enters into the world of the scavengers.

People who live from discovery, she learns the joy of appreciating what can be found. Constructing a bed from milk crates and old pillows. A movie projector from a re-engineered camera. And food from the farmers market a block away.

The cracks widen as she drifts from her world of relative comfort into this exciting new world of creation, but it is not without cold nights, run-ins with the police and re-evaluation of her personal philosophy of comfort.

Will she find her true self, or will the glass crack?
